Mrs. Copeland joined the Turbyfill family in 1996, continuing a career begun in 1978.
In nearly three decades since, she has worked with select organizations across Virginia, equipping herself to serve professionally in every aspect of funeral service.
She is a caring woman with unwavering enthusiasm for a profession she chose as a teen in Roanoke Valley. She saw a funeral service career as a profession and a ministry offering her unique opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Her view still reflects daily in how she meets with families and in the service she renders.
Ruth, her husband Bobby, and son William live in Newport News and are members of First Baptist Church. Bobby has long been a part-time employee of Peninsula Funeral Home, and the Copelands are proud to be a part of a distinguished family-owned institution.
